Device attestation for cloud native Intune enrollment
Monday September 16, 2024 13:15 - 14:15 CEST
Keeping devices secure and productive is a constant challenge. Bad actors are always finding new ways to break into systems, while employees want to use both personal and work devices and so Microsoft Intune helps IT administrators protect data and devices.
One common threat is supply-chain attacks, where hackers impersonate authorised devices or install harmful code that security software can't detect. Microsoft Intune now offers hardware-backed device attestation to protect against these threats. In this session, we'll explain how this feature works during device enrolment and how it helps thwart bad actors.

Endpoint Analytics and Advanced Analytics
Monday September 16, 2024 13:15 - 14:15 CEST
Endpoint analytics is a built-in and free Microsoft Intune feature that provides organizations with meaningful metrics and insights for measuring the quality of the end-user experience from Windows devices. In the session we will cover how easily you can implement it and what information it will provide you. Also, you’ll learn how to use the data in your own solutions.

Advanced Analytics, which requires an additional license, enhances Endpoint analytics by providing the following key features:
- Anomaly detection: discovers workstation issues that easily are unnoticed and provides information about the common characteristics from the problem devices. One example would be devices which have bluescreens and what might be the real reason behind the issue (like a specific driver).
- Enhanced device timeline provides key information about major operations on a specific device. Especially useful while diagnosing issues when you know what has happened on a device.
- Device query allows you to run KQL queries against a device in real time to see what the current state is.

The session covers the latest updates of both services and gives you real-life examples how you can benefit from Endpoint analytics and/or Advanced Analytics.

Strong Authentication with Entra Certificate-Based Authentication
Monday September 16, 2024 15:45 - 16:45 CEST
Identity is the most critical aspect of security. Ensuring that users are who they claim to be is vital. Today, usernames and passwords alone are insufficient. Although Multifactor Authentication (MFA) mitigates some risks associated with standard credentials, digital certificates are a better choice. Organizations can improve their security posture by adopting strong, phishing-resistant credentials in digital certificates by implementing Microsoft Entra Certificate-Based Authentication (CBA).

Terraform Provider for Microsoft 365
Tuesday September 17, 2024 10:40 - 11:40 CEST
Terraform is widely recognized as the dominant language for professional cloud configuration. It has become an essential tool for Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes projects, offering numerous advantages such as a readable declaration language, reliable state tracking for changes, robust auditing of all modifications through git, and automatic documentation of infrastructure.

Until now, Terraform has primarily focused on configuring cloud infrastructures and provided limited support for Entra ID. However, we are introducing a groundbreaking development: the Terraform Provider for Microsoft 365. This session provides an overview of this provider, which in it's first incarnation enables the configuration of almost all aspects of Intune. With support for Autopilot, Conditional Access, Configuration Profiles with Settings Catalog, Compliance Policies, and more, it opens up entirely new possibilities for Enterprise or MSP Tenant Management through Terraform.

Intune Automation Magic
Tuesday September 17, 2024 14:00 - 15:00 CEST
In this session we will look at how to leverage Azure automation, Graph API, and good old PowerShell to give Intune an extra bit of oomph, and a sprinkle of wow.

Intune as a platform has matured massively over the past 5 years, but for those of us who are coming from a Configuration Manager background, the want, and desire to do more within the product can be frustrating. The beauty of Intune though is the ability to interact with it, through the Graph API, and in fact you do this on a daily basis without even realising it.

In this session, we will dig into how to leverage Graph, and automation functions within Azure, to well beyond the native capabilities, using scripts to automate many different scenarios, with the only limit typically being your imagination. In this session we will look at real world examples of how these automation additions are used.

Zero Trust - Dope or Nope?
Wednesday September 18, 2024 10:40 - 11:40 CEST
Zero Trust must be the worst name in the history of Security. But is it just a bad name? Does it really offer worthwhile goals or is it an overkill? I hear sales pitches for it, like for many other security solutions, that concentrate on "What we can't allow anymore because of changed security landscape" all the time. Why does security have to be so negative? A well done Zero Trust environment gives you "the ability to work as efficiently and securely, whether you are sitting in Starbucks or the corporate office" - Which I believe most of us want. Come and listen to this talk about rights and wrongs of how to achieve Zero Trust and how keep Security as what it's meant to be - a support function for a happy workforce.

Enhance your Windows and Intune troubleshooting skills with (Petri's) community tools - NinjaEdition
Wednesday September 18, 2024 14:00 - 15:00 CEST
There are several community tools which help IT admins life when troubleshooting Windows and Intune. Petri has made several of these tools but there are many others too.

In this session Petri will showcase some tools and explain in more depth how some of these tools work. Actually with just two PowerShell commands we can help Windows troubleshooting a lot. But when combining PowerShell capabilities to scripts we can create unique and really helpful tools. So we will also look for some PowerShell tips and tricks which will help you.

And there is actually something new, unique and mind blowing out there and you can also be part of the community contributing The Ultimate Windows and Intune Troubleshooting Tool which Petri will also showcase. This could be the last troubleshooting tool we need to use?

AI has had some role developing these tools and it may have a bigger role in the future also. We'll also have a look how AI could help us with troubleshooting.

Intune Reporting with KQL & PowerBI
Wednesday September 18, 2024 14:00 - 15:00 CEST
For admins coming from a Configuration Manager world, one common theme of feedback is that Intune does not provide sufficient reports.

In this session we will look at what we can get natively out of Intune, but more importantly, how we can go beyond native. Beyond native of course requires scripting, and here we will look at how to leverage PowerShell, Log Analytics, KQL and PowerBI to extract the data that is important for you, and render it in what we believe to be a truly awesome way.

This demo rich session will provide practical examples and scripts, so even if you have a degree in "borrowing code", you too will have something you can build upon on return to the office.

Understanding Certificate deployment options and comparison with Microsoft Intune - via On-prem NDES
Thursday September 19, 2024 09:20 - 10:20 CEST
Traditionally in Intune the method of deploying a SCEP certificate has been via on-prem NDES server. Now with the release of Cloud PKI there is one more way of doing SCEP certificate deployment via Intune without the need to spin up an on-prem NDES server. In this session we are going to get a background of SCEP certificate delivery via Intune using on-prem NDES and understand the components needed and the complexity involved. Then we are going to understand the basics of Cloud PKI and see how in comparison it simplifies the SCEP certificate deployment and makes things faster and easier.
